so apples store is saying I need to pay 49$ on top of everything when I do the pre approval process

I called and made my 12th payment yesterday to citizens

If I do the pre approval now , does this mean Friday it’ll charge my cc the 49$ again for technically a 13th payment ??

Yes, likely the system isn't updated. But even if they do charge you the 13th payment in your case, they will credit you back that amount. This happened to me last year when I upgraded. my 12th payment was on the 16th, which happened to be the pre-order date for the 8 Plus. So being that Citizen One already charged my card, Apple website doesn't see that so at check out they charged me again on top of the new device. But I checked the next month statement and they ended up crediting me back the amount that I was charged. So it will fix it self.

Thanks man. So you called and made the 12th payment too and they still charged you. This makes me feel better.

No, last year I did not call to make the 12th payment. I already knew I would be charged the 12th payment on the 16th. I signed up October 2016 for the 7 Plus, hence why my 12th payment would fall on September.

So what happened was that since the payment occurred on early morning of the 16th, there is no way that Apple could see that payment was made. So at check out, Apple ended up charging me the 12th payment (making it 13th) at check out.

I didn't make any phone calls or anything, Citizen One saw that and just credited me back later.

Got it. Thank you. I’ll monitor it for a month then and then call if I don’t see any credit. I obv have proof from credit card statement showing 12th.
