iPhone 12 Pro IUP sending back old iphone question

after i send my current phone back to apple in the return kit, do i have to call citizen One to close out my old loan or Apple will do that for me?

Apple should take care of it. However they didn’t last time for me so just keep an eye on it.

Also for Apple support for some reason doesn’t seem to know how their own upgrade program works which leads to frustrating results.

No, once Apple receives it and everything checks out, it closes out your old loan automatically. no need to contact.

At least I had no issues, and past few years I always did the in-store pick up. This year, I don't plan on doing IUP anymore, I plan to pay off the remaining and just keep it.
