Hi there! I've been doing the IUP program for quite a few years, so I know how this normally goes. This year has been a little wonky. My trade in kit was supposed to come on Tuesday (9/20) by UPS. I tracked in Tuesday morning, the box had made it to my closest city but hadn't moved any further. I figured it would be here on Wednesday or Thursday.
Yesterday, it didn't show up and no new tracking details but I noticed on my Fedex account that I have a label that has me listed as the sender and the destination is A.I. in PA. I know that it's my return label that should be in the trade in kit. Well, the package that it's attached to is already moving! It looks like it was set in the Fedex system on Tuesday and is set to be delivered in PA later on today. I'm wondering if the original UPS label was over the return Fedex label, the original label was damaged and the box was handed off to Fedex? You can clearly see that the original package never made it to me.
I called Apple yesterday about it, the representative on the phone seemed to follow the problem. She said that she's going to submit a shipping issue and I should hear something within 72 hours. They would either stop the box in transit or if they can't, they would send me a new trade in kit. Clearly, the box in transit didn't get stopped because it's currently on the truck for delivery in PA.
I figure that today or soon I will be getting an email saying that my trade in box was empty and hopefully they'll be a way to solve it? I'm not sure what else to do at this point. Has anyone else had this problem? Thanks!
