I`m looking to get either the ivanky fusion dock max 1 or the caldigit ts4.

the ts4 is out for longer and caldigit seems active to adress any initial issues from what I read.
the ivanky seems to get hot and I couldnt fint too many long term reviews yet, it is slightly cheaper.

would be curious to hear info from any longer time ivnaky owners experiences

I just ordered the iVANKY. Expensive. Don't want to keep buying docks, so buy once and hopefully use for years.
Need to connect a bunch of items. Have a bunch of USB hubs daisy-chained right now.
1. Samsung 57" display to replace Apple 30" monitor, two connections needed on M1 Max. 2. Zike NVMe tb enclosure. 3. 8TB Time Machine HHD. 4. Blue mike. 5. Epson MX-P2 camera presenter. 6. iPhone. 7. Garmin devices. 8. SD cards. 9. micro-SD cards. In the near future, more NVMe tb enclosures.

Takes both TB ports on the left side of the 16" M1 Max MacBook Pro with a double cable.
Shows as 20 in 1 Docking Station.

On the remaining single TB port on the right side, I connect a TB4/USB4 enclosure with a 4TB Lexar SSD.
USB device tree.

Currently, have
(1) a 30" Apple Cinema HD display connected via the USB-C dongle shown.
(2) Yeti X microphone via USB-A,
(3) iPhone 14 Pro via USB-C (PD port),
(4) Epson MX-P2 webcam (and document displayer) via USB-A.
(5) Plus a single 8TB HDD via USB-A for Time Machine.
Waiting on a big monitor that will take an additional two connections.

How has your experience with the dock been? A lot of influencers on YouTube have been peddling it. I'm a bit wary of testing this out with my Apple Silicon Macbook Pro. I bought an iVANKY miniDP dongle many, many years ago and it wouldn't connect properly with my 2014 13" Intel MBP. CalDigit TS4 is tried and true but the dual TB4 connection of the iVANKY seems better.

It has been working great. It takes 2 Thunderbolt ports from one side of my MacBook Pro. I drive a 57" 8K monitor with it from the M1 Max, one connector direct HDMI and the other via the dock in side-by-side PIP mode. And an old Apple Cinema 30" via USB-C. One 8TB HD. One document camera. A Blue microphone. A USB speaker. A Chord Mojo DAC. I have a 4TB Thunderbolt SSD drive direct to the M1 Max too. And it still has a few ports left.
