I have decided but i only have a day or two to choose which one i want :

1) G4 1.2ghz, 512mb ram, 30gb, Tiger 12inch - $785 usd

2) G4 933mhz 640mb ram, 40gb, Pather 14 inch - $755 usd

They both are private deals, excellent condition, G4 processors but which one?? Need your feedback asap!!

The answer partly depends on what you are planning on using the computer for primarily.
What types of applications do you typically use?
Do you need the extra screen real estate?
Also, is the RAM on the 12" on 1 DIMM or 2?

Comparison:
12 inch iBook
Faster
Less Ram
Smaller Hard Drive
NEWER OS
about 30 dollars more

14 inch iBook
slower
a little bit more ram
bigger hard drive
Panther
and cheaper

That is a tough decision, are these both combo drives?

I'm only using my ibook for typing/surfing/web/music and basic windows appliaction

Personally i prefer a smaller screen but i don't know...tough choice and i can do a local pickup on the 14inch
I think its 1 Dimm on the 12inch

Since it's a 1.2GHz 12", it would be 2 DIMMs.
I would go for the 12". It's newer and faster and I'm betting you wouldn't miss the larger screen (as people are fond of pointing out, the resolution is the same on the 12" and 14" screens)

Well both the 14 and 12 has the same build, looks the same, so this is making a very hard choice for me, looking foward to more views...!

Also $30 difference is nothing. I've spent more on a round of drinks in the pub ... many, many times.

Screen Space is not able to be updated but RAM and Harddrive are. SO you can take what you want from that. I would go 12'' but i like he idea of a small laptop and then my desktop for more stuff, my iBook would be just for "on the go" I would go for 12' becuz' if u upgrade the ram to 1gb and an external harddrive it would be much faster the G4 14''

I don't plan to upgrade the ibook at all, im going to leave it as is, since i don't need to upgrade anything anyways . And yes $30 is not much of a difference THEREFORE making it HARDER to decide!

No piracy on the forums, you'll get burned for it.
