Ok, so im an idiot :eek:

messing about on my new macbook and Ive accidently (through being stupid) deleted Safari and I forgot how easy it was to get rid of an apple app and its gone completely! I now cant access the internet on it!

How do I sort this problem? Im currently on my XP laptop. However when I try to download safari to then copy over, it only downloads the windows version.

Please help :confused::p

Download an app called 'Pacafist' (the trial/demo will do) and insert your OS X install disk. You should be able to find the Safari install package on your OS X install disk, and install it back into your home folder.

Just insert your installation disc and do a custom install to get just Safari...no need for Pacifist. See here for more info.

cant you just get it off apples site?

I don't know where you'd get it from. The full Safari 2 was never available for download...just updaters. The Safari 3 beta has been pulled as the non-beta is now in 10.4.11, but the beta (and maybe the 10.4.11 version as well) required Safari 2 in order to install anyway.

All sorted! :p

used install disks and Im now back on track.

Nice to see its not the end of the world if you do summet like that!

Cheers for your help guys :)

i dont think they can since they dont have an access to the internet...

yeah, just insert ur cd and do a custom installation

hahahaha right. i guess if i didnt have a browser, it may make it hard to get online to download one.

then again how is he posting this question. if on another comp, just dl it and put it on a flash drive
