A message pad 100, and a 110.
Anybody else have one? What could I get out of them if I sold them? The 100 works perfectly, but the 110 does not.

I have three ultra-rare CLEAR Newton 110 Developer's prototype models, but I am waiting for the right time to sell them. Two of them come in their original boxes.

Unlike prototype Macs, Apple sold clear 110s as a release model to the public. I used to play with them at CompUSA back in the day. Doesn't mean they're not rare, but in the case of the MessagePad 110, clear doesn't necessarily mean it's a prototype.

Or are yours marked prototypes in addition to them being clear?

I've got a MP100, and MP2000 that I still carry with me sometimes, and a MP2100 that has a screen that won't properly respond to input. Unfortunately, I don't think you'd get much for yours. Maybe $30 each?

Keep them. Surely as they get older, they'll become more rare and hopefully become more expensive?

Regardless, one nice thing about holding onto Newtons is they don't take up much space!

Definitely :) Although it's a bit newer I'm going to hang onto my still-working PS1 for a while....

I've got a MP100, complete with all box, diskettes, manuals, modem and of course it works perfectly. Based on what I've seen, I'd be lucky to get $100 for it. I think I'll hang on to it for another 10 years and see where the market is then.

Yeah, I wasn't expecting much. There doesn't seem to be anyone that wants them.

I paid $125 for a NIB (new-in-box) MP120 years back.

I think as the Newton is re-incarnated as the rumored 7" iPad - interests for these old-timers will increase... ;)

(LOL - the new iPad collectors form...)

Definitely hold onto them, especially if they are CIB (Complete-In-Box)

I really think these Clear ones could demand a premium and go up in price if I hold on to them. I bought them all on eBay in seperate auctions over a period of 3 years, I would buy one whenever I saw one come up, I think I paid around $220 for two of them and about $315 for the other one. They are physically different though, the flip covers on them look different. I think one of them is a prototype and two of them are the clear special edition model.

They are all Clear Newton Messagepad 110s. Here is a photo of one of them:

That looks cool :) Personally I liked those iMacs with the back bit that was see-through :D

I dug out my old Newton 110 and fired it up BUT
can't remember the password. Is their any way
to easily hack it? If not, how do I reset it so I
can use it again? I suspect I'll lose all info but
thats ok.

THANKS!!!!!

hi,still have the 2100? I really want to buy them.

That looks nice.

I currently have 2000 x 1 and 2100 x 3. Gave/Sold the others.

I'll probably hang onto to these for quite a while.
