I'm trying to add some "title cards" from Keynote into an iMovie project (instead of overlaying text), and I did something that I can't figure out how to repeat. Essentially, what I need to do is remove the source video, add the title cards from keynote, and keep the original audio. I did it once, and for the life of me, I can't figure out how to do it again.

Thanks for any help.

Add the Keynote cards and video clip to the Time line. Select the video clip. From the Modify Menu, select "Detach Audio". Drag the audio so it attaches to the Keynote clip and the you can delete the video clip.

Thanks so much. That’s it. I appreciate it! I looked all over, but I don’t think I was using the right queries in my searches.

You mention adding Keynote "cards". I make quite complex movie credits by making an autorun Keynote presentation and then export it to Quicktime. I then add the movie into iMovie.

Yeah, what I’m doing is I’m having cards with the text people can read along with at home, for teaching and what not. I thought about a movie type thing, but syncing that up with my leading right would be really complicated and out of my skill range.
