So I recently purchased the Momentus XT for from new egg for my unibody macbook. However, I didn't really think about how I was going to get the drive INTO my computer. Apple wont do it, which shouldn't surprise me. I went to best buy and they told me that installing a new drive (not apple) would invalidate my apple care. Do I go to a smaller store? That worries me, I don't want them to mess up my computer. Should I even bother bc this invalidates my apple care?!
Suggestions would be amazing!

They lied:

Apple Warranty: Installing Memory, Expansion Cards, User Installable Parts Does Not Void Warranty

Look at page 37 of the MacBook (13-inch, Mid 2010) - User Guide, which tells you how to replace the hard drive.
Replacing the Hard Disk Drive
You can upgrade the hard disk drive in your MacBook. The hard disk drive is located
next to the built-in battery when you open the back of your MacBook. The replacement
drive must be a 2.5-inch drive with a Serial ATA (SATA) connector.
Also, look at page 64, which says:
Your MacBook does not have any user-serviceable parts, except the hard drive and
the memory.
