Ok i was dragging over an MP3 to throw into iTunes when all of a sudden the mouse goes mental and in a split second all my dock gets messed up. but look! what the hell has happened?! the finder icon just... well... dropped off! clicking on it does nothing. i dont want to restart either, or relaunch Finder... i feel special :p

also i'd like to say that for some strange reason mouse clicking becomes disabled every so often. its only happened twice, but i can move my mouse and still use hot-corners with expose. but i cant click anything. relaunching Finder does nothing.

have i broken OSX :(

Have you tried restarting the dock? "killall Dock" in terminal I think is the command.

Or just log out and log back in, that will also restart it.

Mouse clicks sometimes stop working due to mouse keys

If you turn on mouse keys (hitting option five times) like I do when I'm far away from my mouse, then sometimes its clicks get stuck or something. To fix it, turn mouse keys on and tap 5 on the keypad. That always fixes the problem for me.

im not sure but it might have something to do with the file known as "peep show" you have there. if its not a bad file then it should be...

hah! i knew somebody would pick up on that. its a Channel 4 comedy over here. very smart show, its just these 2 guys but you hear what they're thinking.
