I've shot a video on my iPad 2 - now how do I get it off?

I've shot a video on my iPad and I'd like to share it with my friends but how do I get it off of the iPad? It's not a massive file but it's far to large to email from iPad. Is there any way that I can get it onto a USB stick? Help would be much appreciated

When emailing it, it will be compressed.
Connect to your computer.
With a Mac use iPhoto or Image Capture and get the video like a picture, and there you have it.
In Windows it will be seen as a camera, same thing, take the video and then do whatever you want.
Convert it if needed. Maybe Handbrake.
