Hey everyone, I'm new to MacRumors and would like to say hello to everyone.
I just don't get it. I feel like I'm doing something wrong when it comes to my games. I'm disappointed with how fast they move off the list of new releases and I can't seem to get traffic to the apps. I spent the last 5 months developing my latest release (iVirus) and on the first day of release I got a whole 10 people to install the app. The app is free but does offer an in app purchase to unlock the full game. The free version is huge for game play. There are over 70 layouts to play without having to purchase. I use www.tornadogames.com to push the installs, I have a facebook page for tornadogames.com which I post information about the game. With all of the work that goes into getting one game in the store I would expect a better return. What am I missing? I would love to see something more like 40 to 50 installs a day for at least the first 20 days after release. What else can I do? I have thought about making a youtube video for the game - kind of like a commercial. Has anyone tried that approach and if so, how did it work out?
