Ivy bridge to support 16gb of ram and higher ?

Just wondering if the mobile version of ivy bridge will support more than 16gb of memory.

Why wouldn't it. Sandy Bridge already supports 16 GB. Actually the high end SB mobile CPUs support up to 32 GB.

I did not know this. Does that mean my computer technically supports 32GB? I have the CTO 15" Macbook Pro with the 2.5GHz i7...

According to Intel your CPU supports 16 GBs.

I don't know. I checked with the Intel webpage and it says:

2675QM (2.2 GHz low end model) 16GB
2760QM, 2860QM (2.4/2.5 GHz) 32GB

If the logic board can take it, then why not. Now we have to wait for Crucial and company to announce 1x16 GB bars.
