The new Apple Watch 3 looks amazing and its specs and capabilities are impressive.
I've been itching to replace my ancient Nano/wired ear buds with the newest watch/Bluetooth ear buds setup for 2017. Seeing as the iPhone 8 has newest Bluetooth 5.0 capability (twice the speed of 4.2 which is more than enough to support lossless CD-quality audio). I was expecting Apples other newest devices that use Bluetooth would also utilize the newest 5.0 standard.
However, unlike the iPhone 8, I see the newest Apple Watch will still use the now older Bluetooth 4.2 protocol which is unable to fully utilize any Bluetooth 5.0 headphone/in-ear/ear bud capabilities.
Is this a bummer? Would I be dissapointed with an Apple Watch 3 as soon as the Watch 4 with Bluetooth 5.0 came out?
