iWatch series 1: stuck on apple logo

Hi guys,

I own an Apple iwatch series 1 42mm. Thinghie is, in the past 1 year; due to covid i was hesitant to draw it out from my drawer and wear it to work.

Today when i hooked it up to the wallcharger; the watch is stuck on a continious Apple logo and then restart loop. Dont know what to do really :/ ?

Any ideas?

If it sat for an entire year without being charged it may need a new battery especially considering the age of the watch
