Hey guys, I have designed a few websites using iweb and I had my computer stolen. I have a new computer now and I don't know how to get my iweb info into iweb. Anyone know how I can do this? I have no way to edit my sites. Thanks so much! You are all awesome.

Sorry,
there is no way to import anything into iweb. You must have the domain file in order to edit. Don't bother calling apple they won't be able to help.
You can go to your published site and retrieve some element for copy paste to save some time, but you have to rebuild from scratch.

The html files will likely be in the OP's iDisk, but the domain file necessary to make any changes/import into a new machine reside locally. If you don't have a backup, I'm afraid you're screwed.

Try this...

If you can download your files from your website (just ask your ISP for help if you cant) then try this...

Place those files into a folder with the exact same name as the site you created in iWeb.

Open your ~username/Library/Application Support/iWeb folder

Move your iWeb folder to this location.

See if that does the trick.

Do you use iWeb? Just getting the HTML files isn't enough, it's the domain file (stored locally in iWeb-only format) that is important.

i lost my site when i upgraded computer and didnt back up :(

quickest way to get it up and running it to download site from server then create a new iweb project and drag (copy & paste) stuff across

good luck!
