iWeb - simple question(s)

Hi,
I have a question in reference to iWeb. What's the difference between "save" and "publishing to a folder". I know publishing to a folder allows me to then upload to an FTP server. After I make changes to my website can I just save (assuming this will save to the published folder)?

When you "Save" an iWeb project, it saves it to a file in your home directory that includes the data for all of your iWeb sites. You have to publish it (either to .Mac or to a folder) for it to be "available".
