I want to create a website with a blog that has the ability to add comments and easily insert photos or video. I've been debating back and forth about using iWeb '09, Rapidweaver or Wordpress. Wordpress seems the most customizable for blogging but I'm somewhat intimidated how complicated it is to simply insert a video. Especially with iWeb's new features like custom domain name, simple insertion of pics and videos, plus Google Maps widget I'm seriously settling with iWeb, with the hopes that I don't outgrow it. I'm fairly computer savvy but know nothing about HTML hence my concern about user friendliness and convenience. Any advice would be most appreciated!

Thanks.

It really sounds like you already answered your question. However, using basic templates with Wordpress makes for a real easy blog. To add video you click on an actual picture of a video (an icon) and then insert media that way. It is no more difficult than say inserting an image here on the forums.

WP, in my opinion, will allow for so much more as you grow and understand your blog. You will eventually grow out of iWeb in such a way that you can't actually get certain neat plug-in features.

However, again it sounds like iWeb is good for you and if you do outgrow it, then you can always start with Wordpress.

I left Rapidweaver out because my experience with it is limited and I would rather mess with WP over RW.

If you're looking for a product to use for blogging, then wordpress is the better alternative.

iWeb and more so RapidWeaver are products that have blogging capability but its not their main focus

I want to create a website with a blog that has the ability to add comments ...

This is what I'm trying to do - also on iWeb. I will probably switch to Wordpress for my next blog but I've already put time into this one and just want to finish it. But the blog needs a comment section and I don't see that option. Is there a way to add this?
