iWork 08 and Sig. Figs

So I'm writing up a table for a project and iWork keeps deleting my deliberately placed numbers. I need to write 0.000, but every time I do, it "corrects" it for me and just inputs 0. Does anyone know how to change it so I can write in 0.000 instead of 0? There is a huge difference after all...

This is a table formatting thing, so in the Inspector under Table, select Format and alter the number of decimal places to display for the cells in question.
