iWork '08 -> iWork '09?

Hi all,

A friend of mine just bought a new MacBook about a week ago and bought iWork 08 at the same time; both from the Manchester UK Apple store. Seeing as iWork 09 has just been announced, I was wondering if it would be possible to get a free (or at least reduced price) upgrade to iWork 09. I noticed there is a page on Apple's website (http://www.apple.com/uk/ilife/uptodate/) regarding iLife updates, but I couldn't find anyting similar for iWork.

Has anyone got any info / experience of this sort of thing?

tell him to take it into the store and talk with the onstaff manager. They will usually just upgrade you for free. Just ask nicely.

I'm in the same boat, but rather I bought an iWork access code for the trial version that was already installed on my Mac. I purchased the code from apple's website. Any help or suggestions on how to get iWork '09?
