I recently purchased a rMBP and wanted to install iWork on it. I still have the install disk from my old computer and was wondering how I could use that disk's registration or whatever to download iWork from the App Store for free?

The disk drive on my old MBP doesn't work anymore, so I can't use the Remote Disk feature and I really don't want to pay $20 to re-download an app I already own. Thanks in advance.

You can't use the registration to download from the app store, but you can install from the disc (using remote disc) from another computer (like a friend's).

Once you've installed it, all of your updates (under Mountain Lion) will come through the Mac App Store.
