Okay, here's an odd one, and I hope there's an easy answer. I have a jpeg file of my signature. I saved it as both a jpg and a png. When I insert it into Pages '09, it has a black band around it, like a border. Anyone know how I can get rid of it? It's weird. I don't see it if I bring it into Word or another program; just Pages...

Select the signature then go to the object/graphics inspector & set the stroke to none.

I would use .png rather than .jpg for better quality & it supports transparency.
