i dont have iwork on my mac, so if i get say pages on my ipad cam i still put the file on my mac and print. also can i convert it for my my Microsoft office for mac?

Question 1) Yes, you can. However, you'll have to save it as a .doc so that you can open it.

Better yet, save it as a PDF, move it to your Mac, then print it.
Exporting the Pages file as a .doc may alter the look of the document in certain circumstances.
 
I second the above - Pages compatibilty with Office still a little iffy.

Sure Apple will be working on a fix as it seems to be well reported!!
