If I buy Pages, Numbers, Keynote from the Mac Store for say a MacBook, do I then get a copy to place on my iPhone/iPad at no extra charge?

What if I bought the iWork DVD, install it on my Mac, would I still get Pages etc for nothing on my iPhone/iPad or would I have to pay extra for them on my devices?

iWork for Mac and iWork for iOS are two separate products. You have to buy both seperately.
