The new updates for the iOS iWork apps allow you to open the documents in other apps, also allowing you to choose what format, iWork, PDF or Office. This is an ability that I've been wanting for quite some time! Yay!

BTW, should you encounter such needs with other apps unable to send files to other apps, just jailbreak and use iFile to quickly transfer the files to other apps.
