I just got a new iPhone 5 off craigslist about 2 weeks ago and activated it. iWork seems to be free. I thought it was only free for the new iPhones?? I had checked a couple of days ago and it wasn't free..

I believe it is free for any iDevice activated after September 1st, whether it is an iPhone 5 or a 5s.

Or an iPhone 5c or 4s ... Activated after September1st. It might even be on a 4 if it was activated late

Any idea how I find this for free? I just activated a new iphone 5. When I go to the App Store, they all look like they cost $$$

Thanks for any help

That happened to me when I activated my 5s two days ago -- they were not free. I checked again today and they're free for me.

So try again later and see.

Go to the App Store and look under Featured Apps for apps Made By Apple.

They're free in there.
