When I insert a movie (so far I have tried .mp4, .mov, and .dv) onto a Keynote slide, I get audio but not video when I play the slideshow. The movie works fine in Quicktime. I have not yet been able to test it on an external projector. I have combed the Apple support forums and will probably try calling support when I have a good chunk of time to waste, but I thought someone here might have a solution. Here are the details of the problem and what I have tried:

The following solutions have not worked:
  • Checking the "Allow Expose, Dashboard, and others to use the screen" option in preferences
  • Lowering the resolution and physical dimensions of the movie
  • Restarting Keynote and Quicktime
  • Running the presentation when Quicktime is not running
Some ideas on what might be the problem:
  • An issue with Quicktime (Some have had success with uninstalling and reinstalling Quicktime, but with an earlier version)
  • My MacBook's graphics card
  • It might work when I try to use an external monitor (I won't be able to do this until later today)

Important info about my setup:
  • I do not have Perian installed on my computer
  • MacBook 2.4 GHz, 2GB Ram
  • Leopard 10.5.5
  • Quicktime Pro 7.5.5
  • Kenote 4.0.3
  • The movie is only about a minute long, and works fine in other applications such as iMovie.
  • This is my first time using Keynote, so I cannot say if any recent updates are the culprit.

Thanks so much for your help!
