Hello all!

I work at a local public school district as a web designer, and today I received a .pages attachment from someone (person A) who needed the file on our web site.

There wouldn't be a problem except there are no Macs in our district with the latets iWork. :( And person A got it from person B, So there's no way for me to access it or have person A convert it themselves. Gah.

So, if there is anyone out there that would be kind enough to open this up and export it as a .doc or .pdf or anything usable on my PC, I'd appreciate it! :)

Thanks!

Convince them that their PCs are incompatible with popular formats, like Pages documents. And tell them Macs would be the better way to go. :)

Ah, the wonderfulness of this community. 22 minutes from request to acknowledgment of favour completed. Karma points all 'round. :D
Indeed!

Heh, I have... but, I have worked here just enough to begin to understand the intricacies within American school systems and their finances. I truly doubt they will ever give me a Mac.

There's another option ...

run the Pages file through an unzipper ...

The Pages file format is really a zipped file. Once unzipped, you'll get an XML and a plist (which you can ignore) and a PDF of the file itself. Even works on a PC.

Now that is something I can use. Thanks.
