hello everybody.
i want to insert a date in the header and save it as a template. just as what the templates shipped with Pages.

i have no difficulty in inserting the date( from the date menu), and i saved it as a template. the question is that when i use the template next time, the date is the date that i created the template. while apple's template has no this kink of problem.

would someone tell me how to fix it, please?

thank you in advanced

Did you use the Insert > Date and Time menu to insert the date? Then right- or Control-click on the date & select Edit Date & Time. Be sure to check the auto update checkbox.

thank you for your reply.
i tried this, it works to some extend.
but i don't want to update every time i open it.
i noticed that apple's templates leave the auto update to blank. but it actually has the correct time when you create document from the template.

i also did another interesting experience. i created a document from a template and then i saved it as a new template. but when i used the new template, the date won't work correctly.

hope someone can give me a brief explanation.
thanks in advanced. :)
