In Pages 2.0.2, when I select a paragraph and desired font, click on the arrow beside the named paragraph style, chose "redefine style from selection" or "create new style from selection," it does just that. Then I save the file. The next time I open the file, the style has reverted to the style before I changed the font. What am I doing wrong here? Suggestions? Thx

It could be a corrupt preference file. Have you tried changing the paragraph style in this document in another user? If it works there, delete the com.apple.iWork.Pages.plist in HD > Users > [your account] > Library > Preferences.

If it's only the one document, it's likely the document has some corruption. First try saving the document in iWork '05 format (with a different name) & then open the '05 document in Pages 2. Or copy & paste from the problem document into a new Pages document.
