iwork vs apps in apples store

Hello everyone , I was googling in craiglist and found someone selling iwork for $50 (seal) my concert is does iwork gets the same upgrades as the ones in app store ? (pages and the other 2 that I don't remember their name lol)

They just sell the iWork stuff individually on the app store, so you will get the same stuff as if you had bought it on the app store.

oh I see so let say one day apple decide to upgrade it do I get the same upgrade either from applestore or the cd? like iwork 11 or 12 or something like that?

You would have to buy that, but they will only be selling future software on the app store.
