Happy New Year!
Recently bought another mac mini and have been researching ways of controlling both with one keyboard and mouse. The J5 wormhole cable seems the most likely at this point.
Have any members used this? If so, could you please provide any feedback on its good/bad points?
Thank You!

Is there a reason for going »cable-bound«? there are plenty of multi-device bluetooth e.g. keyboards as well as mice which allow for switching between different devices by simply pressing a key.

Thanks for your quick reply.
I looked at the non-cable options but was thinking a cable-bound path was "more secure". Am I just being paranoid?
Thanks again!

IMHO it is much simpler, elegant and cheaper to use multi-pairable bluetooth devices. There is one (okay, technically two, but I do not game on my desktop/laptop) scenario I can think of where I would NEED a cable: reinstalling your Macs after some catastrophic internal ssd/macOS installation failure - but actually have an old USB-keyboard&mouse somewhere in the cellar stored away. 🤣😀
Using Continuity should address any further requirements when switching between both Macs. YMMV of course. 😎

Good morning Slartibart,
Thanks again.
I use air drop and air play but am still looking around for options to control screen, keyboard, mouse on one device.
Have a great day.
