hi guys
i have used VNC mocha lite for remote controlling and it works alright. the only qualm that i have is that it cannot play audio on the iphone (speakers).

i was checking out this app called jaadu remote desktop and its description in the appstore says that it is capable of audio streaming. so does that mean if i remotely watch a youtube video on my iphone or place a skype call, i will be able to hear what's happening. i wanna make sure before forking out a chunk of money.

also, is it safe over 3g??

thanks.

I don't see where it says Audio Streaming. Can you post a screenshot?

It looks like it doesn't support audio streaming.

Jaddu rdp DOES do audio, however its very finnicky, and a bit choppy right off my home wifi, I bet they will iron everything out in time, other than that the app is frikken AMAZING! for RDP, its uses Mac touch pad gestures, 2 finger to scroll, double tapp 2 finger right click, etc.. its GREAT

I have Jaadu and it works terrific for my macbook. I used to have mocha vnc (not lite) and it sucks compared to jaadu. But for mine, I don't have audio streaming... Maybe I got a glitchy version lol

that much better?

is jaadu that much better? i'm KINDA happy with my mocha vnc. well... now that i think about it. it's kinda lame. is it really worth the pain of change to switch to jaddu?

Jaadu RDP IS that much better, it works just as well as a real windows RDP session. However the streaming audio needs polishing,
it only works on my home wifi network and is choppy at best, but thats what Orb is for...

Jaadu is the best rdp client out there.

does it work over 3g?

thanks everyone for your response. but, does the sound work at all over 3g? being choppy over wifi must mean that the sound is almost inexistent over 3g. have you tried it???

but, seeing your responses i think i am gonna buy it. :)

Jaadu RDP doesn't work on the Mac... that's why I thought Jaadu didn't have sound. If you're using the Mac version, you won't have sound. It sucks because I'd love to mix my Logic tracks from my car and hear what I'm doing.

no i love windows. i never got macs and dont think ever will. but its a personal choice, nothing against mac or its users, i am sure its everything its said to be.

so, i think you have cited another reason for me to love windows. thanks:)

You are one of the only people I know that claims to love Windows. Even my friends that only have PCs hate Windows, they just don't want to learn something new or spend the money for a Mac. I hardly ever see someone who uses Windows because they love it.
