We have an iBook, G4, with 1.2 GHz PPC and 1.25 GB RAM. It is still using Jaguar, running 10.3.9.

We can upgrade this to Leopard, right?

And, should it be a clean install or upgrade?

Thanks.

You can upgrade, I recommend a clean install :)

More RAM would certainly be good...

how about just upgrade to Tiger

Leopard makes u little sluggish probably. and i recommend u to do a clean install

Thanks guys. Our iBook has 256 MB RAM built in, and I added 1 GB.

Can I add more? I thought I had to leave that 256 of Built in RAM in there. I would love to take it out and add more. Possible?

leopard should run fine on you iBook, since you have more than the minimum system requirements.

10.3.9 is Panther .... Jaguar is 10.2.x :)

i have always done an erase and install... never gone the update route
