Well everyone else is doing it! - Yeah... doing my head in.

I've Jail-broken my iphone 3G with iOS 4.2.1 using the Pwntool "thingy". I supposed that the Cydia icon would appear on the springboard and then like a lamb to the slaughter, I'd follow the prompts to a lifetime of application harmony. Phewy!

So there is no Cydia icon on the springboard of my iPhone. Something went wrong somewhere. I now find myself in a quagmire of technical hocus-pocus and a dysfunctional piece of Apple Hardware.

So why are people saying "Jail-breaking iPhones is a piece of cake" ?

Consternation!

A thread to follow from a labyrinth of TECHNICAL CRAP - would be nice, please.... anyone.

Try Rebooting your Phone to see if i appears, If that does not work then you may have to restore and try again! If you need to restore, you should use DFU Mode.

DFU Instructions for anyone that needs them: http://adf.ly/2Bj85

What happened to you isn't considered 'normal'. Jailbreaking normally is a piece of cake.

My suggestion would be to get Greenpois0n and jailbreak again. No need to restore or anything, just jailbreak again. :)
