Jailbreak 1.1.2 problems

I go to www.jailbreakme.com and follow the directions. I have let my touch run for over 5 minutes, nothing happens. It just shows the safari page, with a small dot in the upper left. It doesn't take me back to the lock bar or anything. Am I doing something wrong?
