im getting mixed responses that it can and cant be jailbroken. so what is it? what do i have to do? or can i do anything ? do i have to wait for 4.0? or can i downgrade to 3.1.2

Yes because i have done it this very afternoon and without any prior SHSHs stored on Cydia.

He is refering to 3.1.3 not 3.1.2 totally different. If your saying you downgraded from 3.1.3 to 3.1.2 then tell us what you did without a without any prior SHSHs stored on Cydia.

I just followed this guide on Youtube and it worked 100%. All the downloads and infos are included. Just to add my iPhone was upgraded to 3.1.3 firmware without any SHSHs stored on Cydia before i tried this downgrade.
My iPhone is now JB with the 3.1.2 firmware as my earlier post stated.

What you're saying is NOT possible without your SHSHs stored.

I am just waiting for the new iPhone and 4.0 software, that will be easier then to wait for a jailbreak on 3.1.3. I don't think there will be one by the release date of the new phone and the OS.
I only posted a link with a quote from the dev of that jailbreak, i never claimed it to be out and working.
To put some of you at rest, this is the closest thing I have seen to a reputable announcement about new jailbreak tool(s) (not an unlock). This will likely be a JB for 3.2 and downward compatible with 3.1.3.

I have a 3gs from June 09. I tried their method to the letter and it failed.
But regarding the OP, this states it's doable. Am I missing something?? It's late.

that is for an oldbootrom/ jb 3gs upgrading to a pwned 3.1.3
Or were you expecting this one to have slipped by everyone here? You must realised if the situation changed and a new JB came out people here would be talking about it .
