Jailbreak and Carrier Unlock?

I currently have my 4S jailbroken with the Absinthe JB.

Now I'm traveling abroad and Sprint has agreed to unlock my iPhone 4S so I can utilize the sim slot.

Will this process affect my JB? Sorry if this was posted somewhere, I searched and couldn't find any solid info?

Anybody have any info? Do you have to restore the phone during the process or is it just done on carrier end?

no, the unlock won't affect your Jailbreak.

They will unlock the phone, connect it to itunes and iTunes will unlock the baseband and done!.
