Jailbreak and Unlock Iphone 2G

Please assist.

I have a Iphone 2 G/16GB running OS 3.0

Can one upgrade to OS 3.1.2 with a Windows PC, without any hassels?

I also want it unlocked, with Cydia installed.

I googled a bit, but saw some issues, and compatibility issues.

Edit* What does this mean? all iPhones is out now along with BlackSn0w to unlock Baseband 05.11.07

Did anyone here manage to do it? Successfully?

Can you please guide me with a link etc?
