Hi All

I use your forums all the time to gain answers to my questions but unfortunately can not seem to get an answer for this.

I have just purchased an iPhone 5s (Upgrade from iPhone 4s) and was wondering if it is possible to restore my whole jailbreak to how it was from 7.1.1 to 8.0 (when jailbreak is released) and when I mean whole jailbreak I mean everything to how it was (theme/icons/tweaks/etc...)

What I mean is everything will be the same from how it was on 7.1.1 just on 8.0?

Not sure if I have explained that well but any help would be appreciated

Regards,

Sam

not exactly. tweaks will need to be updated for iOS 8, and in certain cases, if it's a huge tweak, it might not be exactly the same when updated for the next major OS version

for example, lockinfo & intelliscreenx

winterboard icon themes shouldn't change though (but they may need to be updated to support the higher resolution icons if you're on the iPhone 6 or 6 Plus)

Get Pkg backup from cydia. That will backup all your cydia settings and you can restore them once a jb becomes available for ios8.

I find that using the dropbox option is easiest.

Pkg backup (afaik) doesn't restore in the sense that itunes does.

In itunes you can restore to older versions of apps as long as you haven't updated and resynced in itunes.

In cydia, pkg backup will remember and restore your packages, but will pull from whatever the "current version is" on cydia; therefore not really being a full backup restore in the sense.

Something that was kind of a deal breaker for me, since certain updates sometimes don't work therefore want to keep older version.
