Ok so i've been reading a lot online how the jailbreak limera1n has pwned all devices for life and i have jailbroken with it months back and i am curious if i can update and it will keep my phone jailbroken through the update... thats what it sounds like but i wanted some clarification

You obviously didn't read the fine print.:rolleyes: They found an exploit that Apple can not patch. That means they don't have to scramble to find new ways of exploiting the iOS. You still have to jb each time you upgrade. No free rides.

Are you talking about 4.2.1? You use redsnow; the info is on the devteam's blog. There is an untethered option, but it requires blobs and a developer's license.
will i just use limera1n again or will i have to switch to the tethered jailbreak?
