I have posted this question in numerous forums and no one will help so I will try here.

I bought an iPhone 3GS a week ago and decided to jailbreak it as that was the only way to unlock I updated to 06.15.00 baseband in-order to do this I also have the new bootrom I am very new to iPhone I am also on iOS 4.3.3 now for the questions.

I bought this phone through a different provider than the one I am currently on however after doing the jailbreak and unlock I am switching back to the provider the phone is tied to. If I remove the apple ip address in windows>system32>drivers>etc will it Allow me to update through iTunes to iOS 5.0.1 If I already have the file? Will this change my baseband? Is there anyway to get my stock baseband back? Will I brick the phone? If I update will I become thered? I would like to remove jailbreak also and just have a normal stock iPhone is there anyway to do this?

Thank you in advance

Ipad baseband 06.15 is there to stay, you can't downgrade its baseband. What you can do now is to restore it to the customs firmware. You can't restore to Apple office firmware because if you do, you will get error every time.

Thanks for the info! Finally a reply one more question. I am sooooo itching to upgrade to iOS 5, if I upgrade by making a custom firmware via redsn0w and don't like iOS 5 can I downgrade back to iOS 4.3.3 and be unteathred I am aware if I go to iOS 5 'then the only option is semi-unteathered thanks

What shsh blobs have you saved? You can only upgrade to signed iOS. 5.0 is no longer signed. Also the same for downgrading. Sticky at the top of this section answers all these questions.
