Jailbreak help!

So I'm running OS 5.1 on a iPhone 4.
My only reason to JB is to get Siri, I don't really care about the other customizable stuff.

I have used redsn0w 0.9.10b6 to JB.

I can JB with no problems but when I try and install Siriport and I have to reboot the iPhone, it gets stuck on the apple/pineapple logo on start up.

I am rebooting tethered from redsn0w and I have tried this twice but both times I have had to restore via iTunes.

Anyone have any advice for me on what to do to get siri?

rebooting tethered should work... select the 5.1 IPSW for the Jailbreak and Tethered booting.

also Siri isnt worth being tethered... least thats how i feel

So would that explain why the boot fails and I have to restore the phone everytime?

It could as Spire installs many iOS 5.0.1 things in order to work.

it's also Spire possible might not be upgraded to work on 5.1 there was a licensing hole that Chpwn found that made him comfortable to port siri pr Spire in to 5.0.1 it's likely that was fixed in 5.1 if Apple fixed it Chpwn won't touch it.

It wasn't a licensing hole. Apple posted the iOS 5.0.1b IPSW for the 4S with an unencrypted ramdisk. Because of this people where able to get Siri without pirating the needed files. Apple has not made the same mistake with the 4S' iOS 5.1 IPSW. So there is no way to obtain the needed files without extracting them from a 4S.
