Jailbreak iOS 7.1/7.1.1 Update: pod2g working on iOS 7.1/7.1.1

Here’s what pod2g had to say to folks at iDB at the WWJC few days back:

Not today, and I don’t know about the future. I’ve started to look at it, and started to find some stuff. I think that something’s possible. It depends on when it happens—I mean if we have a jailbreak in one month, for sure we will release it. If it happens in 3 months, we might have to wait for iOS 8. But I’m definitely on it, definitely trying to find something.

I was at jailbreak con in the room when he spoke. I personally don't think we will see an iOS 7.1.x jailbreak until 8 is released. Something he emphasized was how vilified the evaders were during the iOS 7 jailbreak release. People were mad both because they worked with the chinese company and because they didn't save the exploits for iOS 7.1. And so many people sent the evaders hate that he said he wasn't really motivated to release a 7.1.x jailbreak. Maybe something has changed - But I think the article spun his words optimistically (or I'm pessimistic). =P

tl;dr: I don't think you will see a 7.1.x jb for a while - see my above.

I think they are disappointed that the deal the the Chinese company failed and they didn't receive their 1 million dollars that they were suppose to get.

Well don't you think they should get some compensation for spending weeks or months so you can jailbreak? They have lives too... Jailbreaks have all been free for the user...

I agree 100% I never said they shouldn't, the other guy just said that they are not motivated to do another ios 7 jailbreak and I added onto his comment on why I think they are not motivated

Eh, at this point just wait for iOS 8. It's 4 months out and we will see a beta in a month.

I donate $20 a year when I update. It's not much but if everyone did it then it'd be a ton of cash. I have 6 iPads and 2 iPhones in my house. It's a bargain.
