Hi Guys,
So i know there isn't any way to jailbreak the iPad 2 with ios 4.3.1 but it seems that i read that it was possible on 4.3 and that if you're iPad 2 came with ios 4.3 then you were in luck and that you shouldn't upgrade.
So i just decided to open my 1 week old iPad 2 and mine has ios 4.3 on it.
So my question is , is it jailbreakable? And if so can anyone point me in the right direction.
Thank you

There is no Jailbreak available publicly for the iPad 2. I would still advise you to stay on 4.3 if you're looking to jailbreak your device, because if and when the jailbreak is released, it might only be able to be applied to 4.3

Damn and i thought i was one of the lucky ones...
Thanks for the info.
Much appreciated

You're still one of the lucky ones, as you haven't updated your software. If a jailbreak comes out for only 4.3, everyone who updated their Pads right out of the box might just be screwed.

If you want to upgrade, use tinyumbrella to save your SHSH blobs.

Then you will be fine.

Be careful TU can't save 4.3 blobs anymore. Think Apple stopped signing 4.3 couple weeks ago. Just sit tight at 4.3 I'm also waiting mine delivered to late and I wasn't able to save 4.3 blobs in time. Only those that received delivery in time to get 4.3 blobs are safe to update.

oh, that's right!

oh well, just bought my iPad this morning. It's on 4.3.1

also, it has backlight leak like hell

OH yours came with 4.3.1???

WOW guess Apple nipped 4.3 in the bud.

Well Im lucky mine came with 4.3 just last week.

I know some people still waiting for shipment they will be unhappy to find 4.3.1 on it from the factory.

Maybe we all get lucky and the JB will include 4.3.1.

I was thinking if you have backlight leak take it to apple store swap it maybe your replacement will have 4.3 :D

Im sure there are both iOS versions floating around right now but not for long.
