Jailbreak Iphone 3GS 05.16.05 firmware, ios 5.1

I am trying to jailbreak my new 3GS iphone. It is under the new bootroom and has 5.16.05 firmware. Every time I try to jailbreak I get errors during the process. I am trying to unlock it to use it with T-mobile. I have unlocked multiple phones and this is the first time I've had this much of a problem.

Any help would be amazing!

Be carefull trying to unlock it.
If its a newer 3GS model and you try to install the ipad baseband you will ruin the phone and nothing will function on it including, bluetooth,wifi, build in 2G/3G radios for phone calls and texts, no gps etc...
