Aight guys.

Been through what a few of you guys have been recently - managed to encrypt my iPhone (3G) and having tried to restore it been told that the password I created is 'incorrect'.

First off - despite hours of googling and phoning Apple, I still can't find a way to un-encrypt my data - elmscroft's software is no longer available (to the best of my knowledge) and I can't find anything else, so my first question is; are there any new ways that I can un-encrypt my data in order to restore my phone?

Otherwise - does anyone know of a way to jailbreak my phone from a custom backup? I figure that that's the next best option, I've tried using a few different programs (redsn0w, blackra1n) and neither allow me to jailbreak from a custom backup (I know the location of the file on my Laptop).

So, um, yeah. Is any of this possible or am I royally f*?ked?

Cheers.
