I jail broken my iPod touch 2G MB-model over the weekend with redsn0w to iOS 4.0 after having issues with pwnage tool for several tries. It has FW 3.0 before jailbreak and I was unsure which route I should go as I know I cannot jump to iOS 4.0 directly. I don't even remember what I did as I downloaded pwnage tools for 3.0, 3.1, 3.1.2. Anyway it worked with redsn0w at the end.
All the jailbreaking was done on a MacBook but the ipod is generally synced on a sony vaio. After jailbroken my vaio does not recognize the touch at all (as if nothing has connected, does not even show up on My Computer). I have reinstalled itunes 9.2, 9.1.1 and back to 9.2 eventually. The vaio connects to my iPhone fine and the touch can also connect to my MacBook. Can anybody tell me what the issue is? I plan on using pwnage tool 4.01 to restore it tonight, would that work?
So the touch 2G is currently on iOS 4.0 and iBooks does not work. iTunes shows that my books have transferred over but the bookshelves are empty. Is this an issue with redsn0w?
