Jailbreak iPod Touch 3G|MC008LL|iOS 4.1???

I have no idea how to go about this..

Some guides say use iBooty or whatever.

I need to jailbreak my iPod Touch.

Third generation, currently on iOS 4.1, and it's MC008LL.

Is there currently an UNTETHERED (Reboot without a rejailbreak) for my iPod?

If anyone could post me step by step how I could Jailbreak my iPod or post me a URL to a guide, that would be great!!!

I don't believe there is a jailbreak for 4.1 currently, but I do know there is a 4.0.1 and below jailbreak that isn't tethered (or have to rejailbreak when you want to reboot). Just revert to 4.0.1 or below and then head over to http://jailbreakme.com/ on your Touch, and slide to break. To get the firmware, head here http://www.felixbruns.de/iPod/firmware/ and download the correct firmware. To restore (which will delete everything on your iPod, so make sure to backup anything important like contacts,notes,pictures,settings etc), just read what it says at the top of the site of the firmware page. Then you can jailbreak.

Sweet, do I have to have my SHSH Blobs saved or can I just head into iTunes and hold down on Shift, click restore and navigate to 4.0.1 IPSW file and restore?

You would have needed to have your SHSH blobs for 4.0.1 saved already.

i received my itouch as a gift a couple of weeks ago, and unknowing about this whole jailbreak thing, i upgraded my firmware to 4.1. Now i'm in dire to jailbreak my itouch 3G.

What is this saving "SHSH Blobs"?

Is there anyway to downgrade?

From what i have read online, The Green Poison is only going to jailbreak 4th gen products. If so, what about my itouch 3g?

Where did you read this? I've never seen a jailbreak released that worked ONLY on the latest devices, and I haven't seen anything regarding Greenpois0n that suggested it will be different.

Greenpois0n is only for products with A4 processor. So it's iPhone 4, iPad, iPod touch 4, and Apple TV.

The limera1n jailbreak will support all devices ... So just wait for the release of that to jailbreak your iPod 3G
