What's the status on a jailbreak for iOS 5.1? I hear that all the exploits have been patched for 5.1? I'd like to try the jailbreak again my iPhone with iOS 5.0.1 solely to get BiteSMS back. Should I wait?

iPhone 4/5.0.1/current Redsn0w is a pretty stable setup. I can easily see staying put on this until it's time to upgrade the phone--I sat on 4.2.1 for months after the 4.3.3 JB was released, so I'm not one to update every time.
I can't speak to the 4S/Absinthe experience, but I wouldn't hesitate to recommend redsn0w/pwnage for the 4. As others have said, who knows when a 5.1 untethered JB will be available?

if you intend to update when 5.1 update is out then I
d say wait. however know that it could be months. if you are ok staying at 5.0.1 then go for it.

Too late? As long as he doesn't update to 5.1 he can jailbreak on 5.0/5.0.1 whenever he wants. The tools aren't going anywhere. Doesn't matter since he already said he jailbroke in an earlier post.
